Farmers and representatives of hydro power plants got acquainted with water supply forecasting regimes
The Director in Commercial Issues of “Georgian Amelioration” LTD, Mameli Kobalia, together with the heads of relevant departments, held meetings with farmers and representatives of hydro power plants, located on amelioration infrastructure.
At the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to water supply regimes. Representatives of hydro power plants and farmers had the opportunity to express their suggestions about the forecasting regimes, published within the framework of the regulation. The opinions of water users will be shared as much as possible by the company, "Georgian Amelioration" LTD.
"Georgian Amelioration", From February 2026 to January 2027, will provide water supply according to the agreed and approved regime. Pre-established regimes and water supply schedules will ensure fair water distribution and correct expectations. Water supply forecasting regimes are determined for annual and perennial crops, as well as for hydro power plants.
Company representatives introduced the meeting participants the new tariffs for irrigation services, approved by the Resolution, dated as December 26, 2025 of the Georgian National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, which will come into action from April 1 of the current year.
