The distribution channel has been cleaned from sediment, trees and bushes, in the village Kardenakhi
"Georgian Amelioration" LTD of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture has completed repairing of the distribution channel in the village Kardenakhi. A 1000 meter stretch of the canal has been cleaned from sediment, trees and bushes.
After the above-mentioned works had been carried out, the discharge capacity of the irrigation system was increased, which improved water supply to 40 hectares of agricultural land area. A regular supply of irrigation water will help local farmers to produce high-quality agricultural products.
It should be mentioned that, as a result of amelioration infrastructural projects, implemented in Kakheti region in 2012-2024, 20140 hectares of agricultural land area have been water provided, irrigation water supply has been improved to 16 285 hectares, and the drained land area is 8 725 hectares.
