Zemo Alazani main canal is being cleaned from trees, shrubs and sediment
“Georgian Amelioration” is carrying out cleaning works of 3775 m long section of Zemo Alazani main canal, on the territory of the village of Kurdgelauri, in Telavi Municipality. The main canal is being cleaned from trees, shrubs and accumulated sediment.
After completion of the works, irrigation water supply will significantly improve on agricultural land plots of the villages of Shalauri, Kvemo Khodasheni, Tsinandali, Busheti, Vanti, Akuri, Kakhipri, Vachnadziani, Kalauri and Shashiani.
Totally, the cleaning measures will facilitate to the effective irrigation of up to 1000 ha of agricultural land area.
The project, being implemented by “Georgian Amelioration” ltd, by own resources, will be completed by the end of December.
