A new water supply structure has been constructed on the main irrigation canal in Kazreti of Bolnisi Municipality, in Kvemo Kartli region, by “Georgian Amelioration” LTD.
As a result, the functioning of the irrigation system has been improved, as the new construction ensured regular and safe water conduit; The problem of water leakage in the damaged sections was completely solved, which had caused great losses and the canal had not been fully loaded.
The carried out operational works are particularly important, as water supply has been totally improved to 65 hectares of land area.
A regular irrigation water supply to the agricultural lands, surrounding Kazreti, is one of the main conditions for agricultural productivity. Local farmers already have the opportunity to receive water without loss, according to determined schedule and volume.
