„Georgian Amelioration” plans rehabilitation-modernization of irrigation schemes in Samtskhe-Javakheti
With the support of Asian Development Bank (ADB), “Georgian Amelioration” ltd will implement rehabilitation-modernization project of irrigation infrastructure in Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
Management of respective offices of Georgian Amelioration, along with the ADB representatives have visited operational and non-operational irrigation schemes and their service areas in Ninotsminda, Akhalkalaki, Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza munisipalities in Samtskhe-Javakheti.
The ADB experts have got familiar with the current condition of the irrigation infrastructure on-site based on which they will develop preliminary assessment document. The next stage considers conduction of design studies aimed at the effective rehabilitation and modernization of the irrigation schemes that will facilitate to agricultural development and better use of water resources in the region.
