Cleaning Works of the Sioni Main Canal have been Completed
"Georgian Amelioration" LTD of The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture is continuously implementing alignment measures of the amelioration infrastructure. Cleaning and alignment works of the headwork of the Sioni Main Canal have been carried out in Kaspi Municipality. A stretch of the canal, with a length of 3000 meters, has been cleaned from brushes and alluvion, as well as the headwork on the River Tedzami, which supplies irrigation water to 10 villages in Kaspi Municipality. As a result of the carried out works, the Sioni and the Tsabla main canals will receive irrigation water without loss, and accordingly, amelioration services will be improved on 230 hectares of agricultural land area in Kaspi Municipality.
6 rehabilitation projects of amelioration infrastructure are underway in Shida Kartli region. As a result, water supply will be improved on 11,870 hectares of land plots.
