Cleaning works are underway on a 2-km long drainage canal in Lanchkhuti Municipality
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd is carrying out works for cleaning up to 2 km long collectors and drainage network from trees, shrubs and ground sediment in the village of Ninoshvili, Lanchkhuti Municipality.
As a result of the works performed, discharge capacity of the canal will increase that will facilitate to the improvement of drainage services on tens of hectares of agricultural land area and to the increase of agricultural crop production in the municipality.
The works will be completed by the end of the current month.
Within the years 2012-2024, as a result of the amelioration infrastructural projects implemented by Georgian Amelioration in Guria region, total of 2,175 hectares of agricultural land area have been drained.
