The irrigation water supply will be improved on 100 hectares of agricultural land area in Kareli municipality
"Georgian Amelioration" LTD, of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, continues to regulate irrigation systems in parallel with the irrigation season, in order to improve water supply.
In Shida Kartli, on the territory of the village Dzlevijvari, “Georgian Amelioration” LTD is carrying out cleaning works with its own forces.
The 1500-meter section of the primary water distributary of the main canal is being cleaned from trees, plants and alluvion.
The works carried out will facilitate the uninterrupted water flow in the channel.
As a result, the irrigation water supply will be improved on approximately 100 hectares of agricultural land area in the village of Dzlevijvari and the Breti farm.
The works are at the completion stage.
It should be mentioned that, as a result of the amelioration infrastructure projects implemented in Shida Kartli during the years 2012-2024, 20,100 hectares of agricultural land area have been water provided, while the irrigation water supply has been improved on 15,680 hectares.
