Cleaning works on up to 2.2. km long drainage canal are underway in Lanchkhuti municipality
“Georgian Amelioration” ltd is carrying out cleaning works of 2.2km long collector canals and drainage network from vegetation and sedimentation, on the territory of the village Ninoshvili in Lanchkhuti municipality.
As a result of the increase of the canal’s discharge capacity, drainage services will be improved on 15 ha of agricultural land area in the municipality, which will contribute to the increase of agricultural crops production.
Georgian Amelioration will complete the cleaning works in June of the current year.
It’d be noted that as a result of ameliorative infrastructural projects implemented in Guria region within the years 2012-2024, total of 2,175 ha of agricultural land area has been drained.
