Arakhlo and Ranchpari main canals rehabilitation are underway
“Georgian Amelioration” LTD is implementing rehabilitation of the main canals of Arakhlo and Ranchpari in Kvemo Kartli.
After the completion of the works, water supply will be improved on 810 hectares of agricultural land area in 3 villages of Bolnisi Municipality (Balakhauri, Khidiskuri and Nakhiduri).
The cost of the project is 2 627 500 GEL.
60 rehabilitation projects of reclamation infrastructure were implemented in Kvemo Kartli region during the last 9 years, as a result of which the area of water-supplied agricultural land has been increased by 32,570 hectares, while the irrigation water provision has been improved to 24,820 hectares.
Currently, 4 projects of 6.5 million GEL are underway in Kvemo Kartli, after the completion of which, an addition 2500 hectares of land plots will be water supplied, while the water provision will be improved on 810 hectares.
